my Story
I make jewelry by hand, using traditional silversmithing techniques. Most pieces are one of a kind. Gold, brass or copper accents may be used to add contrast or to set off a particular stone. My work is designed to be comfortable and flow with your body’s movements. It is also easy to care for by storing it in a cool, dry place.

What makes my jewelry unique?
I’ve always been drawn to textures. They’re everywhere, spanning the macro level to the micro, the real to the suggested. Some of my favorite textures include:
landscapes of places I’ve lived and traveled
smooth stones tumbled to the shoreline by the river’s current
friendships I hold dear
the whisper of a trusted secret
music that fills my soul
laughter
the joy of doing something I love

It’s no surprise that textures play a dominant role in my handmade jewelry. They are subtle reminders of connections to people, places and experiences that I hold dear. I hope that when you wear or gift my jewelry,
the texture of the piece takes on a special meaning for you.
Custom orders
If you want to commemorate a special event or memory with a piece of jewelry, I'm happy to work with you to design and texture it. Perhaps you can't part with your grandmother's linen dinner napkins because they hold
fond memories of family gatherings. You can't use them either because they're stained or tattered, so they sit in
a storage box all but forgotten. A permanent reminder of that treasured memory can be made by texturing sterling silver with a small piece of the linen and creating a pendant, cuff, or ring from it. I wish I had thought of
this a few years ago when we lost our beloved Chesapeake Bay Retriever due to old age. A few snips of her coarse, curly fur would have created a special texture on sterling silver and made a unique dog bone-shaped
key ring, Christmas ornament, or charm.
